When we sat down with TJ and Ashlee at Panera to talk about their wedding plans we just knew they would be a joy to work with. We were right! The love and adoration they have for each other was so evident during their session and TJ kept everyone laughing by stealing kisses every chance he got. Needless to say we can't wait for the wedding! We asked Ashlee to share their story...
How did you two meet?
Through a mutual friend. I worked with her at St Mary's medical center and he knew her through church camps. She told him to send me a friend request on Facebook, he did and we sent messages back and forth for several months until we decided to meet for the first time face to face.
We just went to lunch at Applebee's. Since we had been talking via Facebook and texts for so long, it was a very comfortable date. We felt like we'd known each other for a long time already. After lunch we just walked around at some nearby stores and talked more.
He's a very hard working, dedicated, Christian man. He's considerate, funny, and loves with his whole heart. He's grown to love my daughter as his own, and he treats me with utmost respect and care.
Our relationship is long distance, and it will be until we say I Do. So, I just want to remember how the distance never broke us. It's been hard, but if anything, it's made our relationship stronger.
Our perfect weekends are very simple. We just enjoy being together, at home with our Kate, just being a normal family.
There's too many to count with him! He's a jack of all trades really! And me, nothing special! Haha
Hobbies when you have a 2 year old tend to get neglected. Haha but I like to dance- I've taken dance classes since I was 5. I love it.
Happy. Just happy.
He did! We went to Uncork and Create. It's a painting class where you are lead by an instructor step by step. Our class was making a snowman door hanger. On the bottom portion of the snowman you could write out "welcome" or the family name, whatever you wanted. I went to the bathroom because I'd decided not to write on mine. When I came back, TJ was down on one knee, and his snowman said "Marry me?"
